CABBAGE HASH

Who said cabbage can’t be a breakfast hash? Try this with a fried egg for breakfast. This would also work perfectly as a simple keto and gluten-free side with a protein. Serves 2.

INGREDIENTS:

1 head of cabbage, sliced thin on the mandolin
5 slices of bacon, chopped
1 medium sized white onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp paprika
JF Spicy Salt, to taste 

PROCESS:

In a saucepan, start browning the bacon bits. Add the onion and sauté until they start to become translucent. Add the garlic and continue to sauté. Season with garlic powder, onion powder and paprika. Once the onions are caramelized add the shredded cabbage to the saucepan and continue to cook on medium heat. Season with JF Spicy Salt. Once the cabbage is wilted down and sautéed it is done. Serve this with a fried egg on top.
