I was doing a shoot from home today, so had the chance to work on dinner beforehand. I highly recommend my JF Stovetop Steak if you have the time to prep earlier in the day and leave it on the stove for hours. Great for family meals, Taco Tuesday, or bigger gatherings with friends. Serves 4.
INGREDIENTS:
5 lbs skirt steak
1 white onion, chopped
6 garlic cloves, smashed
JF Spicy Salt, to taste
Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
1 (15oz) can tomato sauce
PROCESS:
In a dutch oven, over medium-high heat, add your skirt steak, onion, and smashed garlic cloves. Season with JF Spicy Salt and fresh cracked black pepper. As this sears and begins to brown, work in your tomato sauce. Cover and let this sit for about 4 hours on a low heat.
Once time has elapsed, remove from the heat. Reserve the sauce for serving, slice the steak against the grain, and plate warm over cauliflower rice. Enjoy!
