Friendsgivng Turkey Tacos

Friendsgivng Turkey Tacos

I wanted to do a taco that felt like a nod to Thanksgiving. One that would be mild in flavor and could be pared with traditional Mexican toppings and sides (see the website for most of my sides). This what I came up with. Serves 2.

INGREDIENTS

1 Tbsp garlic olive oil
1 package organic ground turkey
¼ white onion, diced fine
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic, chopped fine
1½ tsp fresh thyme
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chipotle pepper adobo sauce (I like Frontera Brand)
1 tsp JF Spicy Salt
1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper

PROCESS

Heat garlic olive oil in any pan. Add meat and white onion, give it a toss then add all seasonings and mix together as it cooks. Once combined add the chipotle pepper and cook through, mincing the meat down to bits as it browns. Once cooked through add seasonings to taste. Serve immediately or save for the next day and it will be even better!
