Clean homemade chocolate bark is a great alternative to traditional holiday cookies and makes an easy gift.

INGREDIENTS:

1 bag semi sweet chocolate chips (I like Evolved)
½ cup mixed nuts of choice, chopped
½ cup mixed seeds of choice
½ cup peppermint candy, chopped (I like Heavenly Organics)

PROCESS:

Preheat oven to 350°Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a microwave safe bowl, melt one bag of semi sweet chocolate chips in small increments to prevent chocolate from burning. Stir in between cycles. Chop nuts of choice (I love raw almonds and raw cashews). Toast nuts and seeds of choice (I love raw pumpkin and sunflower seeds) on a dry baking sheet until slightly golden and fragrant. Remove from oven and let cool. Once chocolate is melted, pour onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread into a thin, even layer. Sprinkle toasted nuts and seeds on top. Add chopped peppermint cups. Let cool on countertop for a few hours till chocolate hardens. Break up into bark chunks and bag in glassine bags as gifts!
