The most delicious topping for any dessert and so quick and simple to whip up. I enjoyed these over a grain-free scone with dairy-free whipped cream and some JF Spicy Salt. For every 1 cup of berries use 2 tablespoons of sugar; modify to increase servings. Serves 1.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup strawberries, washed and sliced
2 Tbsp sugar (I like Big Tree Farms Vanilla Coconut Sugar)
TOPPINGS:
JF Spicy Salt
Basil, chiffonade
PROCESS:
Place the sliced strawberries in a small bowl and sprinkle on your sugar, coating well. Allow them to sit for about 30 minutes to release their juices and slightly soften.
Elevate with a pinch of JF Spicy Salt, and garnish of basil. Pair with any dessert of your choice and serve immediately!
