TACO RIBS

TACO RIBS

In an effort to try my kid’s favorite foods in different ways I created these taco ribs. They are a fun addition to taco night. Serves 4.

INGREDIENTS:

2 racks baby back pork ribs, sliced into singles
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
1½ Tbsp chili powder
2 tsp cumin
1 Tbsp JF Spicy Salt or JF Universal Salt
1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper

PROCESS:

Preheat the oven to high broil. In a large bowl, combine the individual ribs and pour all the seasonings over them. Using your hands, toss them and mix well making sure every rib is evenly coated in seasoning. Store in the fridge overnight or for at least 6 hours.

Remove them from the fridge and allow the meat to come to room temperature about 30 minutes. Line the ribs evenly on a large broiler pan with a drip pan underneath. Broil the ribs until they are dark golden brown then flip them over about 5-10 minutes on each side. Remove and serve immediately. You can also toss these with your favorite BBQ sauce.
