I was in the mood to freestyle something delicious and I whipped this up. It is reminiscent of tacos, enchiladas, and chili and it’s so good. Serves 8.
INGREDIENTS:
½ cup avocado oil
4 Tbsp flour (sub almond flour)
½ cup chili powder
1 red pepper, chopped
2lb organic ground turkey
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
1 white onion, roughly diced
1 can (10oz) of diced tomatoes (I like
Rotel)
1 can (4oz) of whole green chiles, chopped
½ tsp ground cumin
2 Tbsp tomato paste
½ tsp
JF Spicy Salt1 head of cauliflower, roughly chopped
PROCESS:
In the slow cooker on the sauté mode on medium heat, add the canola oil, flour, and chili powder. Mix together until combined into a sauce. Add the red pepper and sauté for 1 minute. Add the ground turkey and brown the meat for approximately 5-7 minutes. Season with onion powder and garlic powder. Add the white onion, diced tomatoes, and green chiles. Mix together. Season with ground cumin and add the tomato paste. Season with
JF Spicy Salt and add the head of cauliflower. Put the slow cooker on low and cook for 2 hours. Serve this as taco meat inside tortillas or even as chili with all your favorite chili toppings.
