TURKEY BURGER BITE SALAD

TURKEY BURGER BITE SALAD

I was in the mood for bar food, but I didn’t want something greasy or heavy. This is the perfect salad to satisfy your bar food cravings. Serves 1.

INGREDIENTS:

Turkey Burger Bites:
1lb organic ground turkey
¼ white onion, minced
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
½ Tbsp JF Spicy Salt
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp liquid smoke
¼ tsp fresh cracked black pepper
1 Tbsp avocado oil

Salad:
2 cups organic romaine lettuce, finely chopped
1 cup red oak lettuce, finely chopped
1 slice of organic American cheese, finely chopped
2 Tbsp dill pickle, finely chopped
2 Tbsp red onion, finely chopped
2 Tbsp red pimiento peppers, finely chopped
1 slice of bacon, finely chopped
JF Mayo-Free Ranch, to taste
JF Simple Mustard Vinaigrette, to taste
JF Spicy Salt, to taste
Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste

PROCESS:

Turkey Burger Bites:
In a large bowl, place the ground turkey. Add the white onion, garlic, beaten egg, and fresh parsley. Season with the JF Spicy Salt, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, and fresh cracked black pepper. Using your hands, mix together until combined being careful not to over-mix. In a hot pan, pour 1 Tbsp of avocado oil. Place bite sized amounts of the turkey mixture into the pan and cook until all the way cooked through. Set to the side and let cool.

Salad:
In a large salad bowl, add the romaine and red oak lettuce. Top it with organic American cheese, dill pickles, red onion, red pimiento peppers, and bacon. Dress with my JF Mayo-Free Ranch and my JF Simple Mustard Vinaigrette. Season with JF Spicy Salt and fresh cracked black pepper. Top with my turkey burger bites. Mix well using two large spoons. Enjoy!
